We had breakfast early this morning.
After that, we hopped into the bus and drove for an hour and a half towards the
Grand Canyon. The weather wasn’t as warm as it was in Phoenix. Actually, it was
a little bit windy, not much though, and the sky was completely blue. Perfect
weather!!
When we
first got there, we got together to get an orientation and right after we
filled up our water bottles because the weather over here is really dry. We had
no idea how stunning the Grand Canyon was until we got there. Our first
activity was a hike down the canyon. We had two choices: an easier one, that
was 30 min long and there was another trail that most of the people did that
was an hour long and it wasn’t as easy as everyone was thinking it was going to
be. It was definitely amazing. Everyone took awesome pictures and had a lot of
fun.
After that,
we divided on small groups and went to a restaurant in the National Park. It
was a really good restaurant and not that expensive. We had to divide the whole
groups into two because the shuttle buses couldn’t fit everyone together.
Afterwards, the shuttle kept taking us to different lookouts, which had amazing
views. Although, it was warmer and dryer than when we did the hike. We got to
see the Colorado River down in the canyon. It was really cool. After a long
time, we had an hour of free time to chill and then we went to our coach buses
to go to a different location to had dinner. It was a simple place, but really
good.
At the
moment we are writing this post we are heading back to the hotel to have a
couple hours of free time. We have the option to go to the pool, hot tube, play
basketball, soccer and volleyball. It was an awesome day!
Thanks to
Brianna, Alanna, Arielle, Bernardo and bus drivers!
